Heather Dear

Hi, I'm Heather Dear. I create unique, handmade jewelry in sterling silver and gold using traditional metalsmithing techniques. I also enjoy the occasional dip into my previous career of film and commercial production.

Heather Dear's career in the film business began in 1979 when, as a teenager, she given the job of script supervisor on Warner Communications production of "PopClips", 56 half hour shows that were the forerunner to MTV.  Afterwards  she worked in various aspects of film and commercial production, finally settling into producing television commercials and infomercials for the last 20 years.  Thanks to a long and entertaining career in Los Angeles Heather was able to move out of the big city and pursue her love of jewelry making full time.  Most days Heather can be found in her Santa Barbara studio soldering and creating unique handmade rings, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets.
